Biomechanical substantiation of efficiency of the Latarjet's operation in patients, suffering habitual dislocation of the shoulder while osteal tissue affection, was done, basing on retrospective analysis of clinico-roentgenological indices and the magnet resonance tomography (MRI) data. The data were compared among patients, to whom for habitual dislocation of the shoulder a stabilization of the shoulder joint was performed in accordance to Latarjet's method, and the results of biomechanical experiment--determination of the stress-strain state (SSS) of the shoulder joint structures in conditions of defect of the joint depression of scapula (JDS) and the Hill-Sax damage, using the method of a definitely-elemental (DE) imitational computeric modelling. In the upper extremity abduction by 90 degrees the maximal indices of SSS on surface of JDS, while presence of the defect, measuring 30% of common area, before the Latarjet's operation have exceeded their postoperative values by 198.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis has been associated with emphysema in cigarette smokers as a new clinical entity: combined pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema (CPFE). In order to compare histomorphometrical, roentgenological and immunohistochemical aspects of usual interstitial pneumonia (UIP) with and without associated pulmonary emphysema, 17 patients with biopsy-proven UIP were evaluated. Morphometrical evaluation of lung parenchyma destruction was used to divide patients in two subgroups: emphysema/UIP (n=9) and UIP alone (n=8); four patients with biopsy-proven emphysema without fibrosis were also evaluated.

The results of the stomach resection on the occasion of stomach and duodenal ulcer were analyzed. Bioelectric activity of the stomach stump was studied in a comparative aspect, and early recovery of the motor function of the resected stomach after the formation of pyloroimitating gastroduodenal anastomoses was shown. Revealed roentgenologic mechanisms of the evacuator function of the stomach stump let us determine evacuation types for the early postoperative period.

In the work there are summarized the results of the examination of the 28 patients suffering with the pharynx tumors (angiophybroma of the pharynx, tumor of rhinopharynx with spreading to the cells of ethmoidal labyrinth and maxillary sinus, tumor of the pharynx spreading upon the rhinopharynx and intracranially) aged from 14 till 62. There are described the methods of roentgenologic investigation, computed and magnetic resonance tomography. There are shown the possibilities of different diagnostic methods in pharynx tumors, in estimation of the localization specification, prevalence, structure, degree of invasion into the neoplasms gathering round the cells, as well as the definition of the bony destruction.
