The Coombs test is important in hematology for detecting erythrocyte-bound IgG antibodies or in serm through agglutination methods, but its sensitivity and specificity are limited. Flow cytometry provides a more precise and sensitive alternative for quantitatively assessing RBC-bound IgG antibodies. This assessment is crucial for evaluating the risk of hemolytic reactions and ensuring safe transfusions.

Assessment of the immune response to influenza vaccines should include an assessment of both humoral and cell-mediated immunity. However, there is a lack of consensus regarding the timing of immunological assessment of humoral and cell-mediated immunity after vaccination. Therefore, we investigated the timing of immunological assessments after vaccination using markers of humoral and cell-mediated immunity.

Background: Use of Direct Antiglobulin test (DAT) in management of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is conflicting.
Objective: whether strength of positive DAT predicts the need for phototherapy, duration of phototherapy and need for major interventions.
Methods: We retrospectively collected data on all DAT positive neonates with birth gestational age ≥32 weeks over six years (2014-2019).

Background: It is advised to pretreat the reagent erythrocytes with Dithiothreitol (DTT) to denature the surface CD38 to prevent anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies (MoAb) from interfering with the blood compatibility test. Anti-CD38 has little impact on the Polybrene test, but it is still unknown how sensitive it is to detect irregular antibodies and how effective it is when compared to the standard DTT-based method.
Methods: Twenty-one patients receiving daratumumab (N = 13) and isatuximab (N = 8) had their serum collected.
