Background: Orthotopic murine models of pancreatic cancer represent an important tool for evaluating treatment strategies. Several genetically modified mouse tumors and xenograft models have been reported. Genetic models have unpredictable growth and variable waiting period, while orthotopic models are operative ones, difficult to create and result in irregular metastasis.

This case report presents markedly different clinical and radiological manifestations of the same disease in a family over three consecutive generations with varying treatment strategies. The index case/proband primarily presented with gastrointestinal symptoms, including diarrhoea, bleeding per rectum and seizures. Further evaluation revealed bilateral renal angiomyolipoma and cerebral subependymal nodules, in conjunction with facial adenoma sebaceum, periungual fibromas and hypomelanotic ash-leaf macules.

Introduction And Importance: Sigmoid volvulus, an instead identified case of bowel obstruction, is defined as twisting a segment of sigmoid around its mesentery. Despite Western countries in which sigmoid volvulus affects the elderly, in volvulus belt countries, it is a disorder of predominantly men in their 4th decade of life.
Case Presentation: A 52-year-old woman presented with 4 days of abdominal distension and constipation.

Rectal cancer is universally considered a different disease entity as compared to colon cancer, except when dealing with colorectal peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC), in which the two cancers are deemed as the same one. The present study aims to investigate the influence of primary tumor location (colon vs. rectum) on oncologic outcomes in patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for colorectal peritoneal metastases.
