The DNA-damaging agent Gemcitabine (GEM) is a first-line treatment for pancreatic cancer, but chemoresistance is frequently observed. Several clinical trials investigate the efficacy of GEM in combination with targeted drugs, including kinase inhibitors, but the experimental evidence for such rationale is often unclear. Here, we phenotypically screened 13 human pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell lines against GEM in combination with 146 clinical inhibitors and observed strong synergy for the ATR kinase inhibitor Elimusertib in most cell lines.

Objectives: Cognition consists of specific domains that are differentially linked to health outcomes. We provide guidance on how to derive cognitive domains in the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) study. We suggest the use of a bifactor analysis to derive cognitive domains.

Opioid receptors, a subfamily of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), are key therapeutic targets. In the canonical GPCR activation model, agonist binding is required for receptor-G protein complex formation, while antagonists prevent G protein coupling. However, many GPCRs exhibit basal activity, allowing G protein association without an agonist.

This study focuses on the fabrication and characterisation of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) buckypapers and polyethersulfone (PES) flat-sheet membranes using Cyrene, aiming toevaluate its efficacy as a green solvent for these applications. Pristine SWCNTs were dispersed inCyrene without surfactants and compared to N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) dispersions. Buckypapers were fabricated from these dispersions and characterised using Scanning ElectronMicroscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and infrared spectroscopy.
