Felid bone morphology is highly influenced by factors such as locomotion, body size, and foraging behaviour. Understanding how these factors influence bone morphology is important for interpreting the behaviour and ecology of such species. This study aimed to determine the extent to which Panthera pardus (i.

Background Giant intracranial aneurysms (GIAs) require complex treatment strategies including clipping, coiling, stenting, parent artery occlusion, bypass, or combined procedures. Neurovascular hybrid operating rooms (h-OR) combine a conventional operating theatre with high-resolution digital subtraction angiography (DSA). We describe a one-step combined surgical and endovascular treatment in a h-OR for a paediatric internal carotid artery giant aneurysm that can be an optimal solution to manage challenging cases, such as giant aneurysms.

Multiple gut antimicrobial mechanisms are coordinated in space and time to efficiently fight foodborne pathogens. In , production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) together with intestinal cell renewal play a key role in eliminating gut microbes. A complementary mechanism would be to isolate and treat pathogenic bacteria while allowing colonization by commensals.

Middle meningeal artery embolization (MMAE) is an effective adjunctive treatment for chronic subdural hematomas and carries a low risk of significant complications.1 Here we describe the management of a retained and fractured microcatheter following liquid embolic MMAE. A patient with chronic recurrent subdural hematomas underwent bilateral MMAE with Onyx liquid embolic material (Medtronic).
