Existing mortar uses self-healing powders that are based on mineral admixtures, whose reactive nature negatively impacts bacterial viability and diminishes their effectiveness over time. This study aims to develop non-reactive, sustainable biochar-based healing powders with extended bacterial viability to serve as self-healing admixture in bio-mortar. Biochar from coconut husk, coconut shell, and coconut leaf petiole was evaluated for compatibility with Bacillus pumilus RSB17, emphasizing bacterial growth and calcium carbonate precipitation.

Drought stress poses a significant threat to global agricultural production, including the cultivation of medicinal plants. Plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) and the eco-friendly element silicon (Si) are known to alleviate the adverse effects of drought stress. This study examines how inoculation with Bacillus pumilus G5 or/and Si influences plant hormone signaling and flavonoid biosynthesis pathways in drought-stressed Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.

Objective: The study aimed to analyze the safety and effectiveness of the ProBC Plus ( LMG S-31876) supplement across various health parameters, including stress levels, immunoglobulin levels, biochemical parameters, and vital signs.

Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial study was conducted involving 50 subjects diagnosed with ailments related to immune system dysfunction and stress related disorders. Patients were treated with ProBC Plus (2 billion colony-forming units [CFU]) along with a placebo capsule administered once daily for a period of 8 weeks.

The effect of on the viability and antimicrobial activity of the ectoparasitoid was evaluated in laboratory experiments. Two lines of the parasitoid, -infected (W+) and -free (W-), were used. Parasitoid larvae were fed with a host orally infected with a sublethal dose of (Bt) and on the host uninfected with Bt.

This study investigated endophytic fungi isolated from the medicinal plant Panax notoginseng. Among these, the endophytic fungus SQ3, identified as Chaetomium globosum, was capable of reducing silver ions to form metallic silver nanoparticles. The green-synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) presented a distinct surface plasmon resonance peak at 424 nm, with particle sizes between 2.
