However, DOX has a number of side effects, such as myelotoxicity or gonadotoxicity, the most dangerous of which is cardiotoxicity. Cardiotoxicity can manifest as cardiac arrhythmias, myocarditis, and pericarditis; life-threatening late cardiotoxicity can result in heart failure months or years after the completion of chemotherapy.

(NS) is an annual herb belonging to the Ranunculaceae family, also known as black cumin or black seed. This plant has been used since ancient times due to its therapeutic properties and has proven effective in gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiovascular, infectious, and inflammatory conditions. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers, with a 5-year overall survival rate of less than 10%. Despite the development of novel therapies in recent decades, current chemotherapeutic strategies offer limited clinical benefits due to the high heterogeneity and desmoplastic tumor microenvironment (TME) of pancreatic cancer as well as inefficient drug penetration. Antibody- and nucleic acid-based targeting therapies have emerged as strong contenders in pancreatic cancer drug discovery.

Microbes in general, actinomycetes in particular, produce a wide range of antibiotics with various biological activities such as anticancer, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antituberculosis and enzyme inhibition. Actinomycetes are filamentous gram-positive bacteria found in both terrestrial and marine environments. Currently, antibiotics such as Rifamycin, Tetracycline, Kanamycin, Neomycin, Streptomycin and Clavulanic acid derived from actinobacteria are highly useful in the medical field.
