Elucidating ancestry-specific structures in admixed populations is crucial for comprehending population history and mitigating confounding effects in genome-wide association studies. Existing methods for elucidating the ancestry-specific structures generally rely on frequency-based estimates of genetic relationship matrix (GRM) among admixed individuals after masking segments from ancestry components not being targeted for investigation. However, these approaches disregard linkage information between markers, potentially limiting their resolution in revealing structure within an ancestry component.

Given that many AAA+ proteins process membrane proteins, we sought to adapt mEOS for use with membrane protein substrates. However, direct genetic fusion of mEOS to a membrane protein completely abolished fluorescence, severely limiting the utility of mEOS for studying AAA+ proteins.

Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) and Actinic Keratosis (AK) are prevalent skin conditions with significant health complications. The molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and their potential shared pathways remain ambiguous despite their prevalence. Therefore, this study aims to elucidate the common molecular pathways and potential therapeutic targets for BCC and AK through comprehensive computational network analysis.

Background: Microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) is a severe multisystem autoimmune disease featured by small-vessel vasculitis with few or no immune complex, also has a significant genetic predisposition. Growing evidence has confirmed that STAT4 gene is tightly associated with multiple autoimmune diseases, but its contribution to MPA onset is still elusive.
Objective: The aim was to investigated the association between STAT4 gene polymorphisms (rs7572482, rs7574865 and rs12991409) and MPA susceptibility in a Guangxi population of China.

Background: The passion fruit ( Sims) is a diploid plant (2n = 2x = 18) and is a perennial scrambling vine in Southern China. However, the occurrence and spread of stem rot in passion fruit severely impact its yield and quality.
Methods: In this study, we re-sequenced a BCF population consisting of 158 individuals using whole-genome resequencing.
