Introduction: Vocal symptoms are frequent in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and may occur during or after infection.
Objective: To conduct a descriptive review on the topic "dysphonia and COVID-19" in order to alert specialists to these symptoms associated with the virus and sequelae.
Methodology: A literature review was carried out in the main databases: Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus, between April 2020 and April 2024 using descriptors that related COVID-19 or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) to voice disorders.

Myocardial remodelling involves structural and functional changes in the heart, potentially leading to heart failure. The deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA)/salt model is a widely used experimental approach to study hypertension-induced cardiac remodelling. It allows to investigate the mechanisms underlying myocardial fibrosis and hypertrophy, which are key contributors to impaired cardiac function.

For example, some argue that unilateral exercise (meaning one limb at a time) is superior to bilateral exercises (meaning both limbs). Zinner syndrome is an extremely uncommon congenital anomaly of the male urogenital tract. It is attributed to an embryological anomaly that arises in the distal segment of the mesonephric or Wolffian duct. It is the inadequate migration of the ureteric bud that contributes to the failure of differentiation of the metanephric blastema, which ultimately results in ipsilateral renal agenesis and atresia of the ejaculatory duct.

Background And Objectives: Mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE) is generally associated with focal brain atrophy, but little knowledge exists on possible disease-related hypertrophy of brain structures. We hypothesized that repeated seizures or adaptive plasticity may lead to focal brain hypertrophy and aimed to investigate associated clinical correlates.
Methods: In this cohort study, we included patients with mTLE undergoing detailed epilepsy evaluations and matched healthy volunteers (HVs) from 2 tertiary centers (discovery and validation cohorts).
