- Incomplete 90° clockwise intestinal rotation results in the colon being located on the right side of the abdomen and the small intestine on the left, leading to a mirror image of the common mesentery.
- A case study of a 19-year-old patient with cerebral palsy showed symptoms of melaena and inflammatory anaemia, and CT scans indicated signs of Crohn's disease along with the mentioned anatomical anomaly.
- This intestinal rotation anomaly can be asymptomatic and may be accidentally found during evaluations for other medical issues.

Introduction: Despite the success of angioplasty of the iliac artery, this technique remains associated with significant amputation rates. The purpose of this study was to identify predictive factors for lower limb amputation after iliac angioplasty in patients with critical ischemia.
Methods: We reported a retrospective study including patients who successfully underwent angioplasty of the iliac artery between 2014 and 2018.
Diverting ostomy is a commonly perfomed procedure but may be associated to its own morbidity (early or late complications). Colostomy-related evisceration is a rare but potentially life threatening condition (requiring emergency surgery), relatively undocumented for its mechanisms. Case report: A male aged 84 was admited for chronic low digestive occlusion due to a locally advanced, stenosing, rectal adenocarcinoma.

Background And Aims: A small crypt in the Santissima Annunziata Church of Santa Maria della Scala Hospital in Siena (Italy) contained three well-preserved mummies, two of which, dated back to the 15th-16th century, were identified as Salimbene Capacci (1433-1497), Rector of the Hospital, and his wife, Margherita Sozzini (?-1511). The third mummy, dressed in clothes of the 17th century, was not initially identified.
Methods: Accurate bibliographical, taphonomic and anthropological studies allowed the identification of the mummy of Girolamo Macchi, who lived between 1648 and 1734 and worked as "major writer", an accountant, for the Hospital.

We report a rare case of purely retrograde stenosing stricture of the sigmoid descending colonic junction fortuitously diagnosed during the waning of a failed virtual colonoscopy in a 69-year-old patient. The rather asymptomatic patient was addressed to investigate a positive fecal occult blood test. He had suffered a single acute colonic diverticulitis episode 19 years before.
