Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is an exciting noninvasive imaging modality with increasing utilization in the field of cardiovascular medicine. In conjunction with echocardiogram, computed tomography, and invasive therapies, CMR has provided exceptional capability to further evaluate complex clinical cardiac conditions. CMR provides both anatomical and physiological information of a variety of tissue types, without the need for ionizing radiation.

Large group collaborative teaching approaches are rapidly gaining popularity in undergraduate medical education. The case-based collaborative Learning (CBCL) pedagogy was instituted for pre-clerkship teaching at Harvard Medical School in 2015 with subsequent implementation at other medical schools. CBCL emphasizes inductive reasoning, integrates basic and clinical sciences, stimulates curiosity, and fosters teamwork.

With the advent of the 5G era, there has been a marked increase in research interest concerning electromagnetic wave-absorbing materials. A critical challenge remains in improving the wave-absorbing properties of these materials while satisfying diverse application demands. MXenes, identified as prominent "emerging" 2D materials for wave absorption, offer unique advantages that are expected to drive advancements and innovations in this field.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIn this manuscript, a principle-driven fiber transmission model for short-distance transmission with parameterized inputs is put forward. By taking into account the previously proposed principle-driven fiber model as the basic solution solver, the reduced basis expansion method and transforming the parameterized inputs into parameterized coefficients of the Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations, universal solutions with respect to inputs corresponding to different bit rates can all be obtained without the need of re-training the whole model. Once adopted, this model can have prominent advantages in both computation efficiency and physical background.
