This study aims to evaluate the ultrasonographic features associated with testicular infarction, determine the diagnostic effectiveness of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in assessing the testicular vascular system, and investigate the etiological factors contributing to testicular infarction. A retrospective analysis was performed involving 12 patients with confirmed testicular infarction. Each participant underwent standard superficial ultrasound examinations, followed by CEUS.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that severely impacts cognitive function, posing significant physical and psychological burdens on patients and substantial economic challenges to families and society, particularly in aging populations where its prevalence is rising. Current diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, including pharmacological treatments and non-pharmacological interventions, exhibit considerable limitations in early diagnosis, etiological treatment, and disease management. This study aims to investigate the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the early diagnosis and progression monitoring of AD through a bibliometric analysis of relevant literature.

Background: The introduction of the Enterovirus A71 (EV-A71) vaccine in China in 2016 has led to a considerable decline in severe hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) cases, with mild outpatient instances now representing the majority of HFMD cases in the country. Nevertheless, epidemiological investigations concerning mild outpatient cases remain scarce, resulting in inadequate descriptions of their clinical, etiological, and epidemiological characteristics. Our study aimed to analyze the clinical, etiological, and epidemiological characteristics of HFMD outpatients in Chengdu from 2019 to 2022 while identifying potential risk factors associated with the progression of outpatients requiring hospitalization.

Background: The prevalence of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) varies across different clinical settings, with evidence indicating its notable presence not only in psychiatric environments but also in dermatology and plastic surgery. This article aims to investigate the etiological factors associated with the elevated incidence of BDD in plastic surgery outpatient settings, with the ultimate objective of enhancing the assessment process for potential cosmetic procedure candidates.
Methods: We recruited 531 patients seeking consultations or surgeries at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, from October 2022 to February 2024.
