Polyphenolic plant compounds possess nutritional and pro-healthy potential, reducing the risk of auto-inflammatory and neoplastic diseases. However, their interference with the progression of thyroid gland dysfunctions has remained largely unaddressed. For this purpose, we combined the analyses of phenolic content and antioxidative activity with the thyroid peroxidase (TPO), lipoxygenase (LOX), xanthine oxidase (XO) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity assays, isobolographic approach and the estimation of thyroid cancer cells' proliferation and motility in vitro.

Pazopanib, a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been explored for its efficacy in treating various subtypes of thyroid cancer, including differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC), medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC). This systematic review assesses the efficacy and safety of pazopanib, focusing on the progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and response rates and adverse events. A comprehensive search was conducted in databases including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science up to October 2024 to identify randomized controlled trials and phase II clinical trials that investigated the use of pazopanib in thyroid cancer.

Direct electrochemical detection of miRNA biomarkers in tumor tissue interstitial fluid (TIF) holds great promise for adjuvant therapy for tumors in the perioperative period, yet is limited by background interference and weak signal. Herein, a wash-free and separation-free miRNA biosensor based on photoexcited electro-driven reactive oxygen channeling analysis (LEOCA) is developed to solve the high-fidelity detection in physiological samples. In the presence of miRNA, nanoacceptors (ultrasmall-size polydopamine, uPDA) are responsively assembled on the surface of nanodonors (zirconium metal-organic framework, ZrMOF) to form core-satellite aggregates.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of time-dependent diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (td-dMRI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI)-based kinetic heterogeneity in differentiating suspicious breast lesions (categorised as Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System 4 or 5).
Methods: This prospective study included 51 females with suspicious breast lesions who underwent preoperative breast MRI, including DCE-MRI and td-dMRI. Six kinetic parameters, namely peak, persistent, plateau, washout component, predominant curve type, and heterogeneity, were extracted from the DCE series using MATLAB and SPM software.
