Objective: To compare the acute (within 30 days of treatment) laboratory toxicities of Yttrium-90 (Y-90) resin and glass microspheres.
Methods: Selective intra-arterial radionuclide therapies (SIRTs) with Y-90 resin and glass microspheres were retrospectively reviewed. Liver-hematological data were collected at baseline and at 1 week and 1 month follow-up.
Hyperuricemia causes not only gout but also organ damage, such as through cerebrovascular, cardiovascular, and lifestyle-related diseases. The relationship between the serum urate(SUA)level and organ damage has recently been redefined as dysuricemia, as follows: 1)SUA level is positively associated with the occurrence of gout and intra-arterial gout(gout pattern); 2)occurrence of neurodegenerative diseases is negatively correlated with SUA level(ND pattern); and 3)the relationship between SUA level and chronic kidney disease(CKD)and cardiovascular disease(CVD)forms a J-shaped curve(CKD/CVD pattern). CVDs accompanied by dysuricemia include gout, ND, and CKD/CVD patterns; therefore, optimal SUA levels must be maintained to reduce organ damage.

Bevacizumab (BCZ), commercially known as Avastin, is a monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Initially recognized as a breakthrough in oncology, it has since gained FDA approval for various ocular conditions and more recently, for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Bevacizumab's ability to inhibit excessive neovascularization suggests it may have a potential role in treating chronic subdural hematomas (cSDH).

Background: Burn injuries may cause gastrointestinal dysfunction leading to intestinal barrier dysfunction, abdominal compartment syndrome, and acute mesenteric ischemia. In the absence of major vascular occlusion, non-occlusive mesenteric ischemia (NOMI) often occurs in critically ill intensive-care burn patients.
Methods: A retrospective descriptive analysis of the burn registry of the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery of Hannover Medical School was performed from 1st January 2018 to 1st May 2024.

Background And Purpose: Intraarterial thrombolysis as an adjunct to mechanical thrombectomy is increasingly being considered to enhance reperfusion in acute ischemic stroke patients. Intraarterial thrombolysis may increase the risk of post-thrombectomy intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in certain patient subgroups.
Methods: We analyzed acute ischemic stroke patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy in a multicenter registry.
