A novel adsorbent ZnAl-LDHs/SiO (ZA/SiO) was prepared by blending urea mixture of ZnSO and Al(SO) while using SiO as a support form. The adsorption properties of ZA/SiO for the removal of toxic metal ions (Cu(II) and Cr(VI)) from water were evaluated. By batch experiment method to investigate the ZA/SiO adsorption of Cu(II) and Cr(VI) solution treatment effect.

These unmistakable examples of adaptive evolution offer opportunities to gain insight into their genetic origins and mechanisms through comparative analyses. Here, we present a novel comparative genomics approach to build genetic models that underlie the independent origins of convergent traits using evolutionary sparse learning.

Background: While there are numerous benefits to tea consumption, its long-term impact on patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains unclear.
Method: Our analysis included 17,575 individuals with CKD from an initial 45,019 participants in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) (1999-2018). Individuals with extreme dietary habits, pregnancy, or non-CKD conditions were excluded.

Bacterial small proteins impact diverse physiological processes, however, technical challenges posed by small size hampered their systematic identification and biochemical characterization. In our quest to uncover small proteins relevant for pathogenicity, we previously identified YjiS, a 54 amino acid protein, which is strongly induced during this pathogen's intracellular infection stage. Here, we set out to further characterize the role of YjiS.
