Chilli, a globally cultivated and consumed crop is significantly impacted by Thrips parvispinus. The reliance on pesticides could result in residue contamination, adversely affecting quality, leading to export rejections and health risks to consumers. This study evaluated the bioefficacy and persistent toxicity of fipronil and tolfenpyrad against thrips in chilli, and persistence of their residues.

Background: The identification and reduction of drug-related problems (DRPs) through DRP-oriented medical records during the hospitalization of critically impatients can optimize health indicators, such as length of hospital stay.
Objective: To determine the effect of medical records focused on drug-related problems on the duration of stay for patients in intensive care units.
Method: A randomized controlled clinical trial was conducted with patients assigned to intervention or the usual care groups involving clinical pharmacists.

Currently, there remains a debate regarding the functional microorganisms responsible for the quality formation of Guang Chenpi (GCP). Thus, the metabolite profiles and microbial diversity of GCP samples subjected to natural treatment versus those sterilized via electron beam irradiation were investigated over a three-year period. It was found the main constituents of GCP were influenced both by spontaneous changes and microbial activity.

Ventricular arrhythmias induced by ischemia/reperfusion injury limits the therapeutic effect of early reperfusion therapy for acute myocardial infarction. This study investigated the protective effects of the β2-adrenergic receptor (β2-AR) agonist clenbuterol against ischemia/reperfusion-induced arrhythmias and the underlying mechanism. Anesthetized rats were subjected to 10-min left coronary artery occlusion and 10-min reperfusion in vivo.

Despite advancements in chronic arthritis treatment, there remains a significant demand for advanced nanotechnologies capable of efficiently delivering a wide range of therapeutic agents to provide symptomatic relief and facilitate the healing of inflamed cartilage tissue. Considering the significant impact of hypoxia on the development and maintenance of chondral tissue, replicating its effects on stem cells could be a potential approach for the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). Cobalt is a prominent hypoxia-inducing agent, owing to its ability to activate the hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) pathway regardless of cellular oxygen levels.
