The use of adjunct chemical substances in the early postoperative period of periodontal surgical procedures is recommended due to the potential risk of trauma in the operated area. Chlorhexidine digluconate mouthwash is widely used but can cause adverse effects. Phthalocyanine derivatives are being studied as an alternative, demonstrating good antimicrobial activity, especially in the self-activated form, which does not require additional light or chemicals.

MicroRNA (miRNA) modulation has emerged as a promising strategy in cancer immunotherapy, particularly in converting "cold" tumors with limited immune cell infiltration into "hot" tumors responsive to immunotherapy. miRNAs regulate immune cell recruitment and activation within the tumor microenvironment, influencing tumor behavior targeting specific miRNAs in cold tumors aims to enhance the immune response, potentially improving therapeutic efficacy. Despite ongoing research challenges, such as tumor complexity and treatment resistance, miRNA-based therapies offer personalized approaches with potential ethical considerations.

Objective: The concept of "time is brain" is crucial for the reperfusion therapy of ischemic stroke. However, the Infarct Growth Rate (IGR) varies among individuals, which is regarded as a more powerful factor than the time when determining infarct volume and its association with clinical outcomes. For stroke patients with a similar infarct volume, a longer time from stroke Onset to Imaging (OTI) correlates with a lower IGR, which may indicate a better prognosis.

Background: Hypertension is a major cardiovascular risk factor, yet traditional care often results in suboptimal blood pressure (BP) control at the population level. We implemented a remote hypertension management program that monitored home BP and titrated medications per algorithm. This study assessed the program's long-term effects by examining participants' office BP up to 42 months post-enrollment.
