Background/objectives: Millions of individuals worldwide continue to experience symptoms following SARS-CoV-2 infection. This study aimed to assess the prevalence and phenotype of multi-system symptoms attributed to Long COVID-including fatigue, pain, cognitive-emotional disturbances, headache, cardiopulmonary issues, and alterations in taste and smell-that have persisted for at least two years after acute infection, which we define as "persistent Long COVID". Additionally, the study aimed to identify clinical features and blood biomarkers associated with persistent Long COVID symptoms.

Plague, caused by , poses a public health threat not only due to sporadic outbreaks across the globe but also due to its potential as a biothreat agent. Ironically, among the seven deadliest pandemics in global history, three were caused by . Pneumonic plague, the more contagious and severe form of the disease, is difficult to contain, requiring either prophylactic antibiotic treatment or vaccination.

In recent years, significant research has been directed towards the taxonomy of malware variants. Nevertheless, certain challenges persist, including the inadequate accuracy of sample classification within similar malware families, elevated false-negative rates, and significant processing time and resource consumption. Malware developers have effectively evaded signature-based detection methods.

Given the current construction waste accumulation problem, to utilize the resource of red brick solid waste, construction waste red brick was used as a concrete coarse aggregate combined with polypropylene fiber to prepare PPF (polypropylene fiber)-reinforced recycled brick aggregate concrete. Through a cube compression test, axial compression test, and four-point bending test of 15 groups of specimens, the influences of the aggregate replacement rate of recycled brick and the PPF volume on the mechanical properties of recycled brick aggregate concrete reinforced by PPF were studied, and a strength parameter calculation formula was constructed and modified based on the above. Finally, combined with a life cycle assessment (LCA), the carbon emissions of raw materials were analyzed and evaluated.

The relevance of the hemodialysis procedure is increasing worldwide due to the growing number of patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. Taking into account the structure of dialysis polymer membranes is an important aspect in their development to achieve the required performance of hemodialyzers. We propose a new mathematical model of mass transfer that allows hollow-fiber membrane structural parameters to be taken into account in simulating the clearance () of hemodialyzers in a way that does not require difficult to achieve close approximation to the exact geometry of the membrane porous structure.
