Background: Posttraumatic retroclival hematomas are rare pathologies among pediatric patients and can result in cranial nerve palsies. The authors sought to survey the literature and characterize the risk factors, treatment considerations, and overall outcomes for pediatric patients experiencing posttraumatic retroclival hematomas.
Observations: A search of the Ovid Embase, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science databases from January 1986 to May 2024 was performed following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.

Objective: Increasingly, pregnant women living with HIV (WLHIV) initiate antiretroviral therapy (ART) before conception. We assessed the risk of adverse perinatal outcomes among pregnant WLHIV initiating ART preconception or antenatally, compared with women without HIV or ART-naïve WLHIV.
Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Angioedema (AE) due to acquired C1-inhibitor deficiency (AAE-C1-INH) is a rare disease associating recurrent edema of mucosa and skin. Several underlying diseases have been reported, mainly lymphoproliferative diseases and monoclonal gammopathy. However, 15 to 20% of patients never exhibit such a hematological condition.

Introduction And Importance: Rhinocerebral mucormycosis (RM) is a rare and severe condition caused by filamentous fungi, characterized by infection of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and brain. It is the most common and fatal clinical form of mucormycosis, accounting for 50 % of reported cases. RM is seldom reported during the postpartum period.
