This article presents an assessment of the functioning and training needs of consumer advisory boards in Massachusetts (CABs) who advise the Massachusetts agency and the consortia funded through Title II of the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act. The study found that the stage agency and the CABs valued the role of consumers in policy making, but the mechanisms for translating this goal into reality were not always clear or available. The CABs wanted more opportunities to interact with HIV/AIDS Bureau staff and with one another. The CAB members expressed need for ongoing training and technical assistance for themselves and for consortia staff. This project was an example of action research, for the purpose of change and mobilization.

State-level physician associate/assistant (PA) practice regulations have evolved since the profession's inception. The conditions that influence states' adoption of PA regulatory reforms are not fully understood. As some states begin to adopt components of optimal team practice, PAs in other states continue to face significant legal and regulatory practice restrictions.

Introduction: Medical school curricula offer limited exposure to orthopaedic surgery, and few national initiatives aim to prepare students for orthopaedic surgery subinternships, which are critical for success in matching into orthopaedic residency. In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness of a single-day virtual "Subinternship Summit" for medical students in 2 key areas: 1) enhancing participants' confidence in their preparedness for orthopaedic subinternship rotations and 2) mitigating any disparities based on student characteristics, such as race/ethnicity, gender, or whether or not the student's school is affiliated with a "home" orthopaedic program.
Methods: In March 2024, a single-day national virtual summit was held, featuring panels on topics relevant to performance during orthopaedic subinternships.

The aim of this study was to investigate the difference in head acceleration event (HAE) incidence between training and match-play in women's and men's players competing at the highest level of domestic rugby union globally. Players from Women's (Premiership Women's Rugby, Farah Palmer Cup) and Men's (Premiership Rugby, Currie Cup) rugby union competitions wore instrumented mouthguards during matches and training sessions during the 2022/2023 seasons. Peak linear (PLA) and angular (PAA) acceleration were calculated from each HAE and included within generalized linear mixed-effects models.
