Objectives: To compare the predicted tooth width measurements of permanent canine and premolars from Tanaka-Johnston regression equations and Moyers probability tables with the in situ measurements in a sample of Peruvian adolescents.
Design: Cross-sectional.
Setting And Sample Population: Trujillo, Peru; 248 dental casts were measured using a sliding caliper with a Vernier scale rounded to 0.1 mm.
Results: Tanaka-Johnston regression equations were not precise, except for the upper arch in the male sample. For females, the Moyers 95th percentile in the upper arch and the 65th percentile in the lower arch predicted the sum precisely. For males, the Moyers 65th percentile for the lower arch predicted the sum precisely, but none of the Moyers percentiles provided precise prediction in the upper arch.
Conclusions: Using tooth width prediction methods from a different racial origin could create an under- or overestimation of the actual combined canine and premolar tooth width, although their clinical significance is disputable.

The aim of this retrospective study was to compare the histomorphometry of post-extractive sites previously grafted with deproteinized bovine bone, with or without the association of a calcium sulphate preparation. The retrospective evaluation comprehended patients previously selected and treated for the extraction of one or more mono-radicular teeth, followed by an implant-prosthetic rehabilitation. Post-extractive sites had been randomly assigned to test or control group, respectively, if deproteinized bovine bone was used in association with a calcium sulphate preparation or alone.

This case series aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of optimizing axial inclination through clear aligner orthodontic treatment in addressing gingival recession defects. This case series included nine patients, aged 20-36 years, who presented with varying degrees of gingival recession on 12 mandibular incisors.

Aims And Background: The golden proportion is based on the premise that there is a link between natural beauty and mathematics. The study aimed to analyze the mesiodistal width of maxillary anterior teeth in primary and permanent dentition to determine whether a golden proportion exists among them.
Materials And Methods: Sixty subjects were randomly selected in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Background: Long-term durability of a restoration relies on the marginal integrity and its ability to withstand the occlusal forces. Fiber-reinforced composites (FRCs) exhibited superior properties in terms of fracture toughness, flexural strength, and wear resistance.
Aim: The aim of this study was to assess and compare marginal adaptation and microtensile bond strength (µTBS) of posterior FRCs comparing with a condensable composite.

Background: Dental trauma can cause damage to the pulp tissue in immature teeth. Revascularization therapy is a possible option in the treatment of non-vital, immature permanent teeth with a history of trauma. The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the radiographic and clinical results of immature teeth with a history of trauma treated by regenerative endodontic procedures and mineral trioxide aggregate apexification techniques.
