Low pressure dielectric barrier discharge was used to study the formation of XeCl excimer in a mixture of Xe/Cl2 in the range of 70-1,330 Pa. The fluorescence emission spectra in the range of 285-315 nm at different pressure and ratio of Xe/Cl2 were measured. The results indicate that near 308 nm the emission intensities of XeCl formed under the experimental conditions varied with different total pressure and ratio of Xe/Cl2, and the formation efficiency of XeCl excimer reached maximum value at the ratio of 4:1.

The work presents a spectral-luminescent study of the sulfaguanidine transformation in water under a pulsed e-beam and UV irradiation of an UVb-04 bactericidal mercury lamp (from 180 to 275 nm), KrCl (222 nm), XeBr (282 nm) and XeCl (308 nm) excilamps. Fluorescent decay curves have been used in our analysis of the sulfaguanidine decomposition. The conversion of antibiotic under e-beam irradiation for up to 1 min was more than 80%, compared with UV radiation: UVb-04-26%, XeBr - 20%.

Spectroscopic properties of Xeloda chemodrug have been studied over varying concentrations ranging between 0.001 and 10 mg/mL, using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. The alternative photoluminescence (PL) and near infrared (NIR) measurements are carried out to authenticate the obtained results by the LIF method.

In this study, degradation of naphthalene and anthracene in water using ultraviolet (UV) light in the presence of polypropylene microfibers (PPM) modified with TiO was investigated using fluorescence analysis. KrCl (λ = 222 nm) and XeCl (λ = 308 nm) excilamps were used in a photoreactor. Phototransformation was studied for compounds in the presence of PPMs modified with TiO particles.

The degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in water by the combination process of UV-irradiation, humic acids and activated sludge treatment has been studied. The photoreaction rate of all irradiated samples was lowest for the sample irradiated at 308 nm (the XeCl excilamp) in the absence and in the presence of humic acids, and highest for the sample irradiated at 222 nm (the KrCl excilamp). Photolysis of 2,4-D has been shown to enhance the subsequent microbial degradation.

The steric effect for the XeCl*(B, C) formations in the oriented Xe* (³P₂, MJ = 2) + oriented CCl₃F reaction has been observed as a function of the mutual configuration between the molecular orientation and the atomic orbital alignment in the collision frame. Molecular steric opacity functions have been determined as a function of the atomic orbital alignment (M(L)') in the collision frame. The XeCl*(B, C) channels show similar molecular steric opacity functions at M(L)' = 0 but not at |M(L)'| = 1.
