The tubulin-colchicine complex instead of tubulin was used in an imidazole buffer throughout experiments. The interaction with calcium was examined, especially in the GDP state. The high affinity sites of calcium took part in the polymerization of the complex in the GTP state, while the low ones participated in the depolymerization. The complex had 2 high affinity sites with the dissociation constant of 11.5 x 10(-6) M, and 16 low affinity sites with the dissociation constant of 2.27 x 10(-4) M in the GTP state. In the case of GDP state, the dissociation constant of the high affinity site was 7.2 x 10(-6) M, and the low affinity site was not observed. The ultracentrifugal experiment indicated a little compact structure in the GTP state compared with the GDP state. This agreed with the results of calcium binding.

Background: Rho GTPases are essential regulators for cellular movement and intracellular membrane trafficking. Their enzymatic activities fluctuate between active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound states regulated by GTPase activating proteins (GAPs) and guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs). Arhgap39/Vilse/Porf-2 is a newly identified GAP.

An extensive thermochemical study of γ-undecanolactone and δ-undecanolactone has been developed using two complementary calorimetric techniques. The combustion energy of each compound was determined by static-bomb combustion calorimetry, and the corresponding enthalpy of vaporization was determined by high-temperature Calvet microcalorimetry, in which both properties of each compound are reported at = 298.15 K.

The conformational dynamics and activation mechanisms of KRAS proteins are of great importance for targeted cancer therapy. However, the detailed molecular mechanics of KRAS activation induced by GTP binding remains unclear. In this study, we systematically investigated how GTP/GDP exchange affects the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of KRAS and explored the activation mechanism using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, Markov state models (MSMs), and neural relational inference (NRI) models.

This study expands the original two-dimensional carbon footprint model into a three-dimensional model form. Introduce two indicators of carbon footprint depth (CF) and size (CF) to form a three-dimensional carbon footprint model (CF), which is used to respectively represent the occupation and consumption of natural capital reserves by human activities' carbon emissions. Based on the 3D carbon footprint model, this paper calculated the CF, CF, and CF for four different urban agglomerations of China (BTH, YRD, PRD, and CY) spanning from 2000 to 2017.

Objectives: To identify health system contexts and mechanisms influencing general dental practitioners' (GDPs) participation in state funded, contracted primary oral healthcare.

Methods: Peer-reviewed articles and other sources were identified via EMBASE, Medline (OVID), Web of Science and Google Scholar databases, grey literature search, citation tracking and expert recommendations. Studies meeting the inclusion criteria were assessed for rigour, relevance and richness, and coded to identify data relating to contexts, mechanisms and outcomes.
