Introduction: Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) fistulas are a rare phenomenon, that can lead to life-threatening complications if left untreated. Presenting as rhinorrhea or otorrhea, they can be difficult to diagnose due to admixture of other bodily fluids. Typically, CSF fistulas develop after trauma, but in rare instances, they can be diagnosed in patients with a neoplastic lesion.

In the history of hydrocephalus treatment, a variety of diversion sites have been explored to ensure an adequate alternative when the peritoneum was not a feasible option. An interesting choice was the elimination of excessive cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the skeletal system. The purpose of this review was to evaluate all shunting systems that have been implemented in bone structures and to determine their therapeutic potential.

Purpose: The techniques used previously to assess intracapsular pressures did not allow the assessment of pressure variations in both compartments throughout the entire range of motion without puncturing the capsular tissue. Our hypothesis was that the intra-capsular pressure would be different in the lateral and acetabular compartment depending on the movement assessed.
Methods: Eight hip joints from four cadaveric specimens (78.

Objectives: To compare the intra-osseous temperature reached during bone drilling for dental implant placement using open versus closed static surgical guides and evaluate the influence of bone density, osteotomy drilling depth, and irrigation fluid temperature.
Material And Methods: 960 osteotomies were performed with 2 mm pilot drills in 16 solid rigid polyurethane foam blocks. Two main variables were considered: the guide type (open or closed guide) and bone density (hard (D1) or soft (D4).

Background: Pseudomeningoceles most commonly occur due to prior trauma or surgery and are often located in the posterior paraspinous tissues. Here, we report a case of an intraosseous pseudomeningocele that mimicked an intra-osseous T2 hyperintense lesion in the L1 vertebral body.
Case Description: A 64-year-old male presented with back, left lateral thigh and left knee pain lasting several months.
