Introduction: Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability, and the transition from hospital to home can be fraught with challenges. The HOME Rehab trial is designed to address if better health outcomes for stroke survivors can be achieved with a contextually relevant and tailored occupational therapy discharge planning and support intervention. Process evaluations inform clinical trial findings and future scale up, as well as how to implement a successful intervention effectively into policy and practice.

The slope aspect is an important environmental factor, which can indirectly change the acceptable solar radiation of forests. However, the mechanism of how this aspect changes the underground ecosystem and thus affects the growth of aboveground trees is not clear. In this study, Pinus yunnanensis plantation was taken as the research object, and the effects of soil and microbial characteristics on tree growth under different slope aspects and soil depths were systematically analyzed.

Heartwood, serving as the central constituent of the xylem, plays a crucial role in the growth, development, and resilience of trees. The process of heartwood formation constitutes a complex biological phenomenon influenced by various factors. A thorough examination of the mechanisms underpinning heartwood formation not only enhances our understanding of the growth and developmental paradigms regulating trees but also provides essential theoretical support and practical insights for the timber industry, forestry management, and ecological conservation.
