The authors analysed the most common complications in patients after gastrointestinal tract resections. Based on own ten-year clinical practice in stapling technique the complication rate was described including anastomosis insufficiency and stenosis, anastomosis line bleeding, wound infection, and cardio-pulmonary disorders in 636 patients. The observations were compared to standard knot anastomosis in 183 patients. Based on complication analysis the conclusion was drawn, that stapling technique decreases both general and local complication rate of gastrointestinal anastomoses. The use of mechanical suturing technique increases patient survival chance, decreases duration of hospitalisation, and, above all, allows to avoid permanent disability.

Background: Sutural anatomy variation has long been a topic of debate among anatomists, paleontologists, and morphologists. While the exact reasons for the prevalence of this variance remains a topic of ongoing discussion, developmental and genetic factors are hypothesized to be the main reasons. Understanding the morphology and occurrence of normal sutural variations in pediatric patients is essential to making the right diagnosis, where a misinterpretation of a sutural bone may lead to an inaccurate assessment, completely misleading the diagnostic process.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Autologous fascia lata has been increasingly utilised in pelvic floor reconstructive surgeries such as sacrocolpopexy and sacrohysteropexy. This case highlights sacrohysteropexy with autologous fascia lata as a promising option for women with advanced uterovaginal prolapse who wish to preserve their uterus and avoid synthetic mesh.
Methods: We report the case of a 65-year-old woman with stage 3 pelvic organ prolapse following one forceps and one spontaneous vaginal delivery.

Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is a restrictive surgery that aims to decrease the gastric volume of the patient. This study hypothesized that a higher resected gastric volume to the number of fired staplers ratio is associated with improved postoperative 12th-month outcomes. To analyze the effects of resected gastric volume to the number of fired staplers ratio on postoperative results in patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy.

Intraocular lens (IOL) dislocation is not an uncommon complication and often requires surgical intervention, depending on the status of capsular bag support. Conventionally, posterior dislocation of a foldable IOL or the IOL-bag complex warrants their removal as foldable IOLs are not ideal for sulcus placement. The technique presented here describes using quadrilateral sutures to refix looped haptic IOLs at the ciliary sulcus with or without a bag complex.
