Purpose: The retinal microvascular network plays a crucial role in inflammatory injury in paediatric optic neuritis (PON) with serum MOG antibody positivity (MOG + PON). This study compared retinal microvascular densities and structural alterations in MOG + PON eyes with paediatric isolated optic neuritis (PION) eyes and followed up with the final best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) after 6 months.
Methods: A total of 29 children (52 eyes) with PON, including 15 MOG + PON cases (28 eyes), 6 PION cases (10 eyes), 2 neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders associated PON(NMOSD-PON) cases (4 eyes), 6 MOG-associated disease (MOGAD) patients without ON-affected eyes (MOG + NPON) cases (10 eyes) and age- and gender-matched healthy controls (HCs) underwent superficial/deep retinal angiography density (SAD/DAD) by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Background: Whether optical computed tomography (OCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings are associated with final visual acuity in children with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD) optic neuritis is unclear.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the charts of pediatric patients with MOGAD optic neuritis seen at St. Louis Children's Hospital/Barnes Jewish Hospital since 2016.

Background/aims: To distinguish the clinical feature of nanophthalmos (NNO) caused by mutations in protease serine 56 (), membrane-type frizzled-related protein (), myelin regulatory factor () and transmembrane protein 98 () and to evaluate the association between angle-closure glaucoma (ACG) and NNO.
Methods: Variants in those four genes were identified through exome sequencing/whole genome sequencing data, and bioinformatic analysis was conducted to identify pathogenic/likely pathogenic (P/LP) variants. This observational study comprehensively summarised ophthalmological data of 67 patients with NNO from 63 families.

This work aims to reveal the microscopic (2-3 micrometer resolution) appearance of human myelinated nerve fibers in vivo for the first time. We analyzed the myelinated retinal nerve fibers of a male patient without other neurological disorders in a non-invasive way using the transscleral optical phase imaging method with adaptive optics. We also analyzed the fellow eye with non-myelinated nerve fibers and compared the results with traditional ocular imaging methods such as optical coherence tomography.

Objectives: To investigate the macular imaging features in patients with unilateral myelinated retinal nerve fiber (MRNF) and high myopia syndrome.
Materials And Methods: Six patients with unilateral MRNF and high myopia syndrome and 13 myopic controls were enrolled in this study. Spectral domain (SD) optical coherence tomography (OCT), SD enhanced depth imaging OCT, and OCT angiography (OCTA) imaging results of MRNF-affected eyes were compared with the fellow eyes and myopic controls.
