Purpose: The Netherlands is developing a set of national domain information models to support electronic information exchange and electronic patient records (EPR). These domain information models aim to support the development, adoption, implementation and maintenance of the EPR in Dutch healthcare practice. This article describes the modelling for a pilot for mother- and childcare (perinatology).
Methodology: Cases' from perinatology are modelled using the Health Level 7 version 3 Reference Information Model (HL7 RIM) as the methodology and tools.
Results: Results include descriptions of care processes, communication and information that are broken down into interaction tables and tables with information. Next several domain information models for perinatology are drawn up. These models allow healthcare professionals to recognise their communication, content and work. Currently, the models facilitate discussion and critique by clinician and informaticians.
Conclusion: The perinatology domain information models facilitate in building implementations because they contain sufficient details for EPR developers and for developers of messages for information exchange. The first results of the project are useful, despite the fact that HL7 RIM modelling methodology is still not finalized. The approach bridges professional content, technical implementation of messages, and future EPR development.

Background: Effective evidence-based physical activity and nutrition interventions to prevent overweight and obesity and support healthy child development need to be sustained within Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services. Despite this, little is known about factors that influence sustainability of these programs in ECEC settings. Therefore, the aim of this study was to describe the factors related to sustainability of physical activity and nutrition interventions in ECEC settings and examine their association with ECEC service characteristics.

Regulated cell death like pyroptosis is one vital cause of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), which eventually leads to heart failure. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated death domain protein (TRADD) is an adapter protein with multiple functions that participates in the pathophysiological progress of different cardiovascular disorders via regulating regulated cell death. Studies have shown that TRADD combines with receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) and facilitates its activation, thereby mediating TNF-induced necroptosis.

Many types of spatiotemporal patterns have been observed under nonequilibrium conditions. Cycling through four or more states can provide specific dynamics, such as the spatial coexistence of multiple phases. However, transient dynamics have only been studied by previous theoretical models, since absorbing transition into a uniform phase covered by a single state occurs in the long-time limit.

Background: Epilepsy has a genetic predisposition, yet causal factors and the dynamics of the immune environment in epilepsy are not fully understood.
Methods: We analyzed peripheral blood samples from epilepsy patients, identifying key genes associated with epilepsy risk through Mendelian randomization, using eQTLGen and genome-wide association studies. The peripheral immune environment's composition in epilepsy was explored using CIBERSORT.

Although a large body of work has explored the mechanisms underlying metaphor comprehension, less research has focused on spontaneous metaphor production. Previous research suggests that reasoning about analogies can induce a relational mindset, which causes a greater focus on underlying abstract similarities. We explored how inducing a relational mindset may increase the tendency to use metaphors to describe topics.
