Immune reagents for the detection of specific antigen-binding lymphocytes (ABL) with respect to different Salmonells antigens were developed. Rabbits were immunized with killed S. typhi and other salmonellae containing cross-reacting antigens, and the dynamics of the formation of ASL of each specificity was studied. Differences in the time of the appearance of ASL with receptors to thymus-independent (09, 12 or Vi) and thymus-dependent (Hd) antigens were studied. The relative content of ASL, determined with the use of immune reagents prepared from S. typhi antigens, was higher, on the whole, in rabbits immunized with S. typhi than in rabbits immunized with salmonellae containing one of cross-reacting antigens (S. enteritidis--09, 12; S. paratyphi C--Vi; S. virginia--Hd).

: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections usually cause mild, cold-like symptoms in most people, but are a leading infectious disease causing infant death and hospitalization and can result in increased morbidity and mortality in older adults and at-risk individuals. Pfizer has developed Abrysvo, an unadjuvanted bivalent recombinant protein subunit vaccine containing prefusion-stabilized fusion (F) proteins representing RSV A and RSV B subgroups (RSVpreF). It is the only RSV vaccine approved for both maternal immunization to protect infants and active immunization of older adults (≥60 years) and 18-59-year-old individuals with high-risk conditions for prevention of RSV disease.

Diabetes significantly increases the risk of serious health issues, including prolonged skin inflammation and delayed wound healing, owing to inferior glucose control and suppression of the immune system. Although traditional hydrogen (H2) therapy is slightly effective, its ability to tailor the release of H2 on the skin is limited. Chickens are a key species in both the manifestation of avian influenza and the potential for zoonotic transmission. Avian influenza virus (AIV) infection in chickens can range from asymptomatic or mild disease with low pathogenic AIVs (LPAIVs) to systemic fatal disease with high pathogenic AIVs (HPAIVs). During AIV infection in chickens, Toll-like receptor 7 and melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 are upregulated to detect the single-stranded ribonucleic acid genomes of AIV, triggering a signaling cascade that produces interferons (IFNs) and pro-inflammatory cytokines.
