Objectives: To determine the outcome and the place of transluminal angioplasty (ATL) in the treatment of severe limb ischaemia.

Materials And Methods: Seventy two legs at stage III and IV of Fontaine's classification have been exclusively treated by endoluminal procedures. The success was valued both on the haemodynamic post-operative improvement of the run-off flow and on the clinical statut leading to the conservation at mid-term of a functional limb. Patency and survival rate had been valued by actuarial method.

Results: Seventy percent of the limbs were haemodynamically improved. For the global population, a 48% clinical success rate was obtained at 6 months but 30.5% of limbs were loss. Primary patency rate was respectively 79, 71 and 68% at 6, 12 and 24 month. The quality of the run-off arteries has been the most influential factor.

Conclusion: Endoluminal treatment of chronic limb ischaemia had lead to a clinical improvement in 48% of cases. Multi-stages and distal atherosclerotic disease of this patients limits ATL indications which results depend of run-off quality.

Objectives: To evaluate the role of shear wave elastography (SWE) in distinguishing acute from subacute thrombi in thrombosed arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) and explore the relationship between thrombus stiffness and outcomes of balloon angioplasty.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 44 dialysis patients with thrombosed AVFs from June 2022 to June 2024. Patients underwent Doppler ultrasound and SWE to assess thrombus age, followed by balloon angioplasty.

The mediastinal vasculature can be affected by various etiologies in cancer patients. Both direct and indirect sequela of cancer may result in life-threatening clinical presentations. Tumor growth may cause vessel narrowing and decreased blood flow from either extrinsic mass effect, invasion into the vascular wall, or tumor thrombus within the lumen.

Intracardiac migration of inferior vena cava (IVC) filter or stent is a rare but potentially fatal complication of endovascular venous device placement. There is no consensus whether migrated stents should be surgically removed by open cardiac surgery or retrieved by the percutaneous endovascular route and whether an intervention should be performed immediately or expectantly. Herein, we report a 39-year-old female who received emergent left lobe living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) owing to posthepatectomy liver failure.

We report a case of right ventricle to pulmonary artery conduit angioplasty in which a valvuloplasty balloon ruptured circumferentially and was retained within the conduit. A high-pressure balloon was used to relieve the obstruction and free the ruptured balloon. The procedure was further complicated when the distal part of the balloon broke away from the proximal part during an attempt to retrieve it back into the femoral sheath.

Department of Vascular Surgery, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Nanjing University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, 210009, China.

To retrospectivly investigate the short-term clinical outcomes of one-stop and two-staged endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) procedures for treatment of varicose veins (VVs) and iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS). In this study, 424 patients were treated for VVs and IVCS from June 2017 to June 2020, 91 underwent one-stop stent angioplasty (SA) and EVLA, 132 underwent two-staged SA and EVLA, 104 underwent one-stop balloon angioplasty (BA) and EVLA, and 97 underwent two-staged BA and EVLA. Clinical outcomes and complications were recorded at 3 and 12 months post-intervention.
