Background: Although the role of fungi in gut inflammation in IBD has been suggested, data are still limited in ulcerative colitis (UC). Our aim was to describe the gut fungal profile in a pediatric UC in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: Fecal samples from children with UC and control samples provided by healthy school children were collected.

Objective: Behcet's uveitis (BU) is a type of uveitis with a high rate of blindness, characterized by anterior segment inflammation, vitreous opacity, and retinal vasculitis. Its pathogenesis is still unclear. Fuchs syndrome (Fuchs) is another common type of uveitis, which clinically presents with anterior segment inflammation and vitreous opacity, but rarely causes blindness.

Background: Gut microbiota dysbiosis plays a significant role in the development of acute pancreatitis (AP). However, a recent randomized trial reported negative findings regarding the use of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) via the mid-gut tube in severe AP. The case series presents the feasibility of washed microbiota transplantation (WMT) as a new methodology of FMT and its delivery via colonic transendoscopic enteral tubing (TET) for severe AP.
