The female varicocile is associated to the pelvic congestion syndrome that is described. Five patients 31 to 52 years old are presented. Four of them have continuous pelvic pain and the fifth had huge vaginal and vulvar varices. Flebography of the left ovarian vein showed retrograde flux of the dilated vein. Sclerotherapy with Aethoxysklerol 3% was performed. There was an immediate relief of symptoms. During the follow up period between 9 and 12 months the five patients were asymptomatic. There are publications of embolization of the ovarian vein, however the present cases are the first ones in which the selective Sclerotherapy was the only treatment used with good results.

Objective: The study aims to elucidate clinical and ultrasonographic characteristics of female patients diagnosed with pelvic varicose veins (PVV) and to assess potential risk factors associated with incidences of chronic pelvic pain (CPP) in this population.
Methods: Clinical and ultrasound data were retrospectively collected from female patients with PVV at Beijing Shijitan Hospital between December 2017 and October 2022. Patient cohorts were divided into two groups based on whether they had been experiencing non-periodic pelvic pain over six months, consistent with the symptoms of CPP.

Background: Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is a refractory disease that severely affects female fertility. The PERK/eIF-2α/ATF4/CHOP pathway is one of the classical pathways involved in the unfolded protein response to endoplasmic reticulum stress by regulating protein synthesis and promoting apoptosis. This study aimed to investigate the functional role and mechanism of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) in the POI animal model through the PERK/eIF-2α/ATF4/CHOP pathway.

Background: hucMSC-exosomes can be engineered to strengthen their therapeutic potential, and the present study aimed to explore whether hypoxic preconditioning can enhance the angiogenic potential of hucMSC-exosomes in an experimental model of POF.
Methods: Primary hucMSCs and ROMECs were isolated from fresh tissue samples and assessed through a series of experiments. Exosomes were isolated from hucMSCs under normoxic or hypoxic conditions (norm-Exos and hypo-Exos, respectively) and then characterized using classic experimental methods.

Background: Chronic pelvic pain is a debilitating but common syndrome that is a burden both for patients and health systems. Pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS) contributes to 30-40% of patients presenting with chronic pelvic pain where no other cause is identified. However, PCS is poorly understood, underdiagnosed and undertreated, with the average time to diagnosis being reported as up to four years after initial presentation.

The aim of this retrospective multicentric case series is to describe the CT findings of ovarian neoplasia in dogs. Twenty dogs with pre- and postcontrast CT exams and cytological/histological diagnosis of ovarian neoplasia were included. Five dogs presented with bilateral tumors, for a total of 25 neoplasms: 15 carcinomas (4 bilateral), 4 granulosa cell tumors, 2 poorly differentiated malignant neoplasia (bilateral), 2 luteomas, 1 teratoma, 1 dysgerminoma.
