Acute liver failure (ALF) is characterized by rapid hepatic dysfunction, primarily caused by drug-induced hepatotoxicity. Due to the lack of satisfactory treatment options, ALF remains a fatal clinical disease, representing a grand challenge in global health. For the drug repositioning to ALF of mesalamine, which is clinically approved for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), we propose a supramolecular prodrug nanoassembly (SPNs).

Closure of the ductus arteriosus (DA) using cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitors is considered the first-line treatment for hemodynamically significant patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Physiologically, prostaglandins have a recognized role in PDA. Admittedly, the comparative efficacy and safety between ibuprofen and acetaminophen need to be determined for rational choice of drug therapy for closure of the DA in clinical protocols.

Balancing the risks of ischemic and bleeding events in patients who have undergone coronary angioplasty with drug-eluting stents (DES) is a delicate task. Individuals recovering from myocardial infarction are at increased risk of recurrent ischemic events, highlighting the potential benefits of rigorous secondary prevention measures. Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), combining aspirin with P2Y12 inhibitors such as clopidogrel or ticagrelor, forms the cornerstone of post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) care aimed at preventing stent thrombosis and lowering the risk of ischemic events.

Purpose: Understanding parental attitudes and health literacy is crucial for promoting safe and effective medication use, which is pivotal in managing epilepsy, a condition requiring consistent and informed treatment decisions. So, this study aimed to determine the impact of health literacy among parents of children with epilepsy on their attitudes towards rational drug use.
Method: This study, conducted at a university hospital's Child Neurology Outpatient Clinic in Konya, Turkey from May to December 2023, employed a descriptive research design involving 234 parents of children with epilepsy who attended routine check-ups during this period.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) can be rationally designed with functional organic ligands to improve the electrochemical responsiveness of the electrode toward certain medicinal compounds. In this study, we synthesized a COF-Ni electrocatalyst material, which is formed by covalent coupling of electron-rich 2,3,6,7-tetrakis (4-formylphenyl) tetrakis (4-imidazolyl) (TTF-4CHO) and hole-rich 5,10,15,20-tetrakis (4-aminophenyl) porphyrin nickel(II) (TAPP-Ni). The reasonable electron transfer path design, the large specific surface area of the COF and the physical properties of ordered nanopores, as well as the Ni-N bond as a highly active catalytic center, allow the COF-Ni material modified electrode to exhibit excellent sensing performance for acetaminophen (ACOP).
