Uterine artery embolization (UAE) is gaining increasing recognition as an effective treatment alternative to hysterectomy in select patients. As interventional radiologists gain more experience in the treatment of fibroids, new interest is being directed toward arterial communications between the uterine arteries and ovarian arteries. This case report focuses on the potentially serious complication of flow reversal up the ovarian artery into the aorta during UAE.

Background: Senility influences fertility in women and companion animals, especially horses.
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the effect of aging in horses on the daily changes in the dominant follicle (DF) dynamics and hemodynamics, antimüllerian hormone (AMH), enzymes, antioxidants, and ovarian hormones during the estrous cycle.
Methods: Ovaries of old mares ( = 5, age >20 years) and young native mares ( = 6, age <10 years) were scanned during 6 different estrous cycles from March 2022 to August 2023 with Doppler ultrasound.

Background: The primary perioperative concern during laparoscopic myomectomy is the risk of significant intraoperative blood loss, which can lead to hypovolemia, necessitate blood transfusion, and result in postoperative anemia. To address this issue, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the impact of temporarily clamping the uterine and utero-ovarian arteries on operative blood loss during laparoscopic myomectomy.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search across various databases to identify eligible clinical trials from inception to May 2024, focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs).

A wide range of etiologies, both ischemic and nonischemic, can produce an electrocardiographic pattern of ST-segment elevation (STE), including Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) and electrolyte imbalances. Instances of hypocalcemia-induced TTS and STE are exceedingly rare in medical literature. This paper presents the case of a 75-year-old woman with advanced ovarian cancer and no prior heart issues, who exhibited diffuse STE on electrocardiogram, resembling acute coronary syndrome.
