We reviewed 19 hips in 17 patients between 17 and 33 years of age, who underwent a Kotz polygonal triple osteotomy. Their average follow-up was 7 (4.5-9) years. Although 13 patients had less pain after surgery, 3 continued to limp. The average corrections were 36 degrees for the center-edge angle, 31 degrees for the vertical center-edge angle and 19 degrees for Sharp's angle. 3 patients developed transient palsy of the sciatic nerve, and 3 asymptomatic nonunion of the ischium or pubic bone. The degree of arthrosis decreased in 10 hips.

The microstructure and residual mechanical properties of several groups of T92/Super304H dissimilar steel welded joints (hereinafter referred to as welded joints) in service for 70,000~85,000 h were analyzed. The results show that the early service history of the welded joint results in the polygonization of the martensite lath and the coarsening of the precipitated phase on the side of T92 steel. In the further creep process, the cavities nucleate along the precipitated phase interface and the triple junction grain boundary.

Background: Vasculogenic mimicry (VM) is an alternative intratumoral microcirculation system that depends on the capacity of tumor cells to reorganize and grow in three-dimensional (3D) channel architectures like the capillaries formed by endothelial cells. Both VM and angiogenesis may coordinately function to feed cancer cells, allowing tumor growth. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) regulate critical cellular functions in cancer cells, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, invasion, and metastasis.

Gaussian spot fitting methods have significantly extended the spatial range where fluorescent microscopy can be used, with recent techniques approaching nanometre (nm) resolutions. However, small inter-fluorophore distances are systematically over-estimated for typical molecular scales. This bias can be corrected computationally, but current algorithms are limited to correcting distances between pairs of fluorophores.
