Oxidation systems are diverse and widely used for the degradation of organic pollutants in water. Identifying suitable oxidation systems for certain organic pollutants is a common challenge in practical engineering. Simultaneous consideration of the oxidation selectivity and economy of different oxidation systems for organic pollutants can improve the accuracy of the screening process.

External quality assessment (EQA) cycles are the smallest complete units within EQA programs that laboratories can use to obtain external assessments of their performance. In each cycle, several samples are distributed to the laboratories registered for participation, and ideally, EQA programs not only cover the examination procedures but also the pre- and post-examination procedures. The properties and concentration range of measurands in individual samples are selected with regard to the intended challenge for the participants so that each sample fulfils its purpose.

Importance: 2021 Advance child tax credit (ACTC) monthly payments were associated with reduced US child poverty rates; however, policymakers have expressed concerns that permanent adoption would increase parental substance use.
Objective: To assess whether 2021 ACTC monthly payments were temporally associated with changes in substance use among parents compared with adults without children.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The primary sample included adults aged 18 to 64 years who responded to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health in 2021.
