Heat stress and pathogens are two serious yield-limiting factors of crop plants. Plants that previously experienced high but sub-lethal temperatures become subsequently tolerant to higher temperatures through the development of acquired thermotolerance (ATT). ATT activation is associated with the elevated expression of heat shock (HS)-related genes such as HSFA2, HSFA3, and HSP101.

A resistive switching device with precise control over the formation of conductive filaments (CF) holds immense potential for high-density memory arrays and atomic-scale in-memory computing architectures. While ion migration and electrochemical switching mechanisms are well understood, controlling the evolution of CF remains challenging for practical resistive random-access memory (RRAM) deployment. This study introduces a systematic approach to modulate oxygen vacancies (OV) in HfO films of Ag/HfO/Pt-based RRAM devices by controlling the substrate temperature.

Oligodeoxynucleotides containing CpG motifs (CpG-ODN) can promote antimicrobial immunity in chickens by enriching immune compartments and activating immune cells. Innate memory, or trained immunity, has been demonstrated in humans and mice, featuring the absence of specificity to the initial stimulus and subsequently cross-protection against pathogens. We hypothesize that CpG-ODN can induce trained immunity in chickens.

In this review, we survey the current progress in computing transport properties in semimetals which harbour non-Fermi liquid (NFL) phases. We first discuss the widely-used Kubo formalism, which can be applied to the effective theory describing the stable NFL phase obtained via a renormalization group procedure and, hence, is applicable for temperatures close to zero (e.g.
