Dual-mode, regenerated DNA motor for simultaneous detection of viral gene fragments and diagnosis of infectious disease.

Biosens Bioelectron

January 2025

Shandong Key Laboratory of Biophysics, Institute of Biophysics, Institute of Rural Revitalization, School of Pharmacy, Dezhou University, 253023, Dezhou, China. Electronic address:

This study presents a dual-mode and regenerated DNA motor powered by exonuclease III (Exo III) for the simultaneous detection of viral gene fragments. The detection methodology is categorized into two distinct operational modes. The first mode emphasizes the simultaneous detection of two viral gene fragments from a specific virus.

Tryptophan catabolism is a central pathway in many cancers, serving to sustain an immunosuppressive microenvironment. The key enzymes involved in this tryptophan metabolism such as indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) and tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO) are reported as promising novel targets in cancer immunotherapy. IDO1 and TDO overexpression in TNBC cells promote resistance to cell death, proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.

To improve the performance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) multi-label systems, the multi-label network structure needs to be quickly located and optimized. A multi-label location measurement method based on the NLM-Harris algorithm is proposed in this paper. Firstly, multi-label geometric distribution images are obtained through a label image acquisition system of a multi-label semi-physical simulation platform with two vertical Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) cameras, and Gaussian noise is added to the image to simulate thermoelectric interference.

Effect of Monosodium Urate Crystal Deposition on Atherosclerotic Carotid Plaques.

J Clin Med

January 2025

Departments of Neurosurgery, Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Toyama, 2630 Sugitani, Toyama 930-0194, Japan.

The accumulation of uric acid in arteriosclerotic plaques has recently attracted attention. Because the interaction between hyperuricemia and atherosclerosis is complex, the details remain obscure. We aimed to elucidate the clinical effect of monosodium urate monohydrate (MSU) deposition on carotid plaques.
