Background: Brain arteriolosclerosis (B-ASC) is a pathologic hallmark characterized by dysmorphic brain arteriolar wall thickening. B-ASC is a common finding at autopsy in aged persons - some degree of B-ASC is seen in >80% of brains beyond age 80 years - and is associated with cognitive impairment. Hypertension and diabetes are widely recognized as risk factors for B-ASC.

Background: Although frontotemporal dementia (FTD) with right anterior temporal lobe (RATL) predominance has been recognized as a separate FTD subtype, a uniform description of the syndrome is still missing. This multicenter study, led by an international working group (IWG), aims to establish a cohesive clinical phenotype and lay the groundwork for consensus on terminology and diagnostic standards.

Background: Despite improvements in pregnancy care, preterm birth remains a major cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide, particularly in developing countries. Maternal inflammation has been recognized as a factor that may induce preterm birth, with various inflammatory markers associated with its pathogenesis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the value of maternal serum amyloid A(SAA) level as a predictive marker for preterm delivery in a Romanian cohort.

Nevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (NLCS) is a rare dermatological condition characterized by ectopic mature adipocytes in the dermis. The classic variety presents multiple clustered skin-colored nodules, while the solitary form is a single papule or nodule. We report the case of a 25-year-old female who presented with multiple cerebriform nodules coalescing into a large plaque over the left iliac region that developed over 17 months.
