To analyze the time to reach full enteral feedings (TFEF) among preterm infants with gestational age (GA)<32 weeks admitted to the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) of Chinese Neonatal Network (CHNN). This was a retrospective analysis based on the database from the CHNN 89 participating centers between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2022. All 16 155 preterm infants with a GA <32 weeks and a birth weight <1 500 g, admitted to the NICU within 24 h after birth, hospitalization for at least 7 d and achieved full enteral feedings before discharge were included.

Objective: To evaluate the association between platelet count and procedure-related bleeding at the time of central venous line (CVL) placement in critically ill children.
Study Design: A retrospective cohort study was performed capturing patient admissions to the pediatric intensive care unit between January 1, 2012 to March 1, 2022. Critically ill children between 0 months and 19 years who underwent bedside CVL placement were included.
Purpose This study evaluates the predictive value of the Mayo Adhesive Probability (MAP) score for surgical outcomes in obese patients undergoing miniaturized percutaneous nephrolithotomy (m-PCNL). The primary research question is whether the MAP score can predict intraoperative and postoperative complications in patients with a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients who underwent m-PCNL at a tertiary care center between August 2018 and August 2023.

The Csa blood group antigen was identified more than 50 years ago but its genetic basis has yet to be elucidated. All our recent genomic investigation has failed to resolve the genetic basis of this enigmatic antigen. By investigating the association of the HNA-3a/b polymorphism (rs2288904-G/A) in SLC44A2 with clinical features of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), we incidentally discovered that rare subjects with the homozygous HNA-3b/b genotype also carry the uncommon Cs(a-) phenotype.
