Wide differences of achievement in dermatological research between Denmark and Israel have been reported, although the two countries are comparable in terms of academic dermatological structure. The aims of the present study were to document these differences by means of bibliometric analysis, and to attempt to elucidate the causes of these differences. Employing MEDLINE searches for the 10-year period 1988-97, quantitative and qualitative comparisons of the dermatological publications from these two countries were conducted. We found the achievements of Danish dermatological research to be superior to those of Israel, and suggest that the large proportion of case reports and reviews is one cause of the relatively low ranking of Israeli dermatological research efforts.

Background: There is a current fashion for the use of methacrylate-containing nail cosmetics that can induce allergic contact dermatitis. European Union (EU) legislation was introduced in 2021 that had the aim of preventing its development.
Objectives: To assess prevalence and exposures causing contact allergy to 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) prior to and following implementation of the legislation.

Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors block pathways involved in inflammation and immune response, making JAK inhibitors useful in the treatment of various diseases. While the efficacy of these drugs has been proven in several studies, their safety profile needs to be further investigated. In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we examined the risk of infections during treatment with oral JAK inhibitors with no concomitant treatment compared to placebo in phase 2 and 3 randomized, placebo-controlled trials.

A unique collaboration of multi-disciplinary experts from the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO), the European Dermatology Forum (EDF), and the European Organization of Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) was formed to make recommendations on cutaneous melanoma diagnosis and treatment, based on systematic literature reviews and the experts' experience. Cutaneous melanomas are excised with one to two-centimeter safety margins. For a correct stage classification and treatment decision, a sentinel lymph node biopsy shall be offered in patients with tumor thickness ≥ 1.

This guideline was developed in close collaboration with multidisciplinary experts from the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO), the European Dermatology Forum (EDF) and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). Recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma were developed on the basis of systematic literature research and consensus conferences. Cutaneous melanoma (CM) is the most dangerous form of skin tumor and accounts for 90 % of skin cancer mortality.

Objective: Physical treatment modalities, such as ablative fractional laser (AFL), electrocautery, and cryotherapy, are extensively used in the field of dermatology. This study aimed to characterize the short-term innate and adaptive immune responses induced by AFL compared with heat- and cold-based procedures.
Materials And Methods: Innate (CD11bLy6G neutrophils) and adaptive (CD8CD3 T cells) immune cell infiltration and histopathological changes were examined in murine skin on Days 1 and 7, following AFL, monopolar-electrocautery (RF), thermocautery, and cryotherapy.
