Data on the production of collagen and its fractions (which in many cases surpass the parent protein in functional properties), reported in the literature throughout the past two decades, are reviewed. The material presented elucidates the role played by collagen and its fractions in the development of new, ecologically pure foodstuffs containing nutritive fibers. As follows from the analysis of the data, collagen fractions with molecular weights in excess of 120 kDa offer the greatest promise for producing useful foodstuffs.

Purpose: Cardiac fibrosis, a key contributor to ventricular pathologic remodeling and heart failure, currently lacks effective therapeutic approaches.
Patients And Methods: Small extracellular vesicles from young healthy human plasma (Young-sEVs) were characterized via protein marker, transmission electron microscopy, and nanoparticle tracking analysis, then applied in cellular models and mouse models of cardiac fibrosis. Western blotting and qRT-PCR were used to identify protective signaling pathways in cardiac fibroblasts (CFs).

Introduction: Non-healing wounds pose significant challenges and require effective therapeutic interventions. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as promising cell-free therapeutic agents in tissue regeneration. However, the functional differences between different subpopulations of EVs in wound healing remain understudied.

We hypothesized that daily exercise promotes joint health by upregulating anti-inflammatory mediators via adaptive molecular and metabolic changes in the infrapatellar fat pad (IFP). We tested this hypothesis by conducting time-resolved analyses between 1 and 14 days of voluntary wheel running exercise in C57BL/6J mice. IFP structure and cellularity were evaluated by histomorphology, picrosirius red collagen staining, and flow cytometry analysis of stromal vascular fraction cells.

Objective: The direction of this study was to detect and analyze the specific mechanism of anti-apoptosis in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) cells caused by high expression of BCL2.
Methods: Bioinformatics was completed in Link omics. GO analysis and KEGG analysis were carried out, and the grope tool of Link omics database was used to evaluate PPI information and other core path analysis information.

Radiation therapy (RT) is widely used for cancer treatment but is found with side effects of radiation dermatitis and fibrosis thereby calling for timely assessment. Nevertheless, current clinical assessment methods are found to be subjective, prone to bias, and accompanied by variability. There is, therefore, an unmet clinical need to explore a new assessment technique, ideally portable and affordable, making it accessible to less developed regions too.
