Introduction: Hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (HEH) is a rare indication of liver transplant with limited evidence.
Methods: Adult recipients undergoing first-time liver-only transplant from 2002 to 2021 in the United States were identified using the UNOS/OPTN database. We compared post-transplant outcomes of recipients receiving liver transplant for HEH versus other diagnoses.

Objective: To analyse the distribution of pathogens, risk factors and inflammatory indicators related to pelvic infection after hysterectomy.
Methods: Patients who underwent hysterectomy at Women's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University between January 2022 and January 2023 were recruited into this study. Vaginal secretions from patients with suspected postoperative pelvic infection were collected for pathogen cultivation, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility analysis.
Background: Uzbekistan, a highly endemic country for hepatitis B virus (HBV), introduced infant vaccination with hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) in 2001. Since 2002, it had ≥90 % reported immunization coverage for ≥3 doses of HepB (HepB3) and the birth dose (HepB-BD). However, the impact of HepB vaccination and the progress towards achieving the regional hepatitis B control and global viral hepatitis B elimination goals had not been assessed.

The presence of malnutrition in early life is a determining factor in the onset of metabolic alterations and chronic diseases in adults. Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine the impact of malnutrition in early childhood with the presence of cardiometabolic risk factors in adulthood in marginalized populations from Chiapas, Mexico. The present investigation was based on a prospective cohort study that began in 2002, with young adults aged 18 to 25 years belonging to region in Chiapas, Mexico.
