In the year 2000, at the Department for General Surgery and Liver Transplantation from The Fundeni Clinical Institute Bucharest, seven OLTs and one living-related transplantation were performed in 6 adults and 2 children. Postoperative complications were: bile leakage, hemoperitoneum, lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage, parietoabdominal hematoma. There was only one postoperative death due to septic complications in the 18th p.o.d. and one late death due to pneumonia of unknown origin. After the results in the year 2000 there was an increased number of donors and referrals. We consider that now in Romania this is an established program that will continue depending on the number of donors and financing.

Introduction: Follicular lymphoma (FL) is a common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that is incurable but often follows an indolent course. While survival is improving thanks to advances in diagnosis, supportive care, and new therapies, understanding outcomes and their impact on overall survival is still limited. There are few studies on FL in Brazil, so this study aims to evaluate the patient's profile, morbidity and mortality treated by the Brazilian national health service (SUS) and evaluate risk factors associated with treatment failure.

Purpose: Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a debilitating chronic pain condition characterized by sensory, motor, and autonomic dysfunction with a world-wide prevalence of 26.2 per 100,000 people per year and is 3 to 4 times more prevalent in females. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown to be beneficial for pain relief in neuropathic pain and initial evidence in CRPS is promising, but studies are limited.

Methods: Data from 402 patients who underwent either PBSCT ( = 294) or BMT ( = 108) between 2000 and 2022 were analyzed using the Japanese nationwide registry database. The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS), and secondary endpoints included disease-free survival (DFS), non-relapse mortality (NRM), and GVHD.

The aim of the study was to determine changes in body mass index (BMI) and in the prevalence of overweight and obesity in Serbian adult population. Data for this study were obtained from three National Health Interview Surveys, carried out as cross-sectional, nationally representative surveys in 2000, 2006 and 2013. The values of p for trends of sociodemographic and health related behavioral characteristics, of BMI distribution, and of overweight and obesity prevalence were determined by univariate and multivariate linear and logistic regression analyses, with year of survey as a continuous variable.

Background: Historical redlining has been associated with inferior survival in adult-onset cancers. However, its relationship with pediatric, adolescent, and young-adult-onset cancer outcomes is unknown.
Methods: This study identified incident cancer among individuals <40 years of age living in Seattle and Tacoma between 2000-2019 via the population-based Cancer Surveillance System.
