Skin flap transplantation is a conventional wound repair method in plastic and reconstructive surgery, but infection and ischemia are common complications. Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy has shown promise for various medical problems, including wound repair processes, due to its capability to accelerate angiogenesis and relieve inflammation. This study investigated the effect of red and blue light on the survival of random skin flaps in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected Sprague Dawley (SD) rats.

Cyclin-dependent kinase 11 (CDK11), which plays a pivotal role in cell cycle regulation and transcription, is overexpressed in various cancers and is linked to poor prognosis. This study focused on identifying potential inhibitors of CDK11 using computational drug discovery methods.

The direct progeny of Ra-223 is Rn-219, also known as actinon, a radioactive noble gas with a half-life of 3.98 s.

Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging plays a pivotal role in oncology for the early detection of metastatic tumors and response to therapy assessment due to its high sensitivity compared to anatomical imaging modalities. The balance between image quality and radiation exposure is critical, as reducing the administered dose results in a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and information loss, which may significantly affect clinical diagnosis. As photobiomodulation is growing in the dental field the aim of this prospective, two-arm clinical trial was to assess the radiographic changes for chronic periapical bone lesions related to mandibular molars after primary root canal therapy with or without applying Diode laser on soft tissue. The samples were randomly divided into a Laser group and a mock laser (ML) group. Preoperative CBCT images were compared 12 months later with postoperative CBCT to gauge the changes in the volume of the bony lesion by two observers.
