This article is a critical analysis of the anti-homosexuality legislation in Uganda, a state in East Africa. It primarily uses Plato's political philosophy as expressed in Aristophanes' speech in the Symposium. Using the Aristophanic viewpoint, the study derived six analytical concepts that structure its findings, discussion and conclusion.

Background: In 2021, 15% of pregnant women in Denmark had a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 kg/m or more, which is associated with complications for both mothers and children. Healthcare professionals often feel insecure when discussing weight with pregnant women with high body weight, and people with high body weight are exposed to stigmatisation. To counter this, different tools have been developed to support respectful weight-related conversations, often recommending asking permission to talk about weight.

Institutes for pathology act as operators, users and in-house manufacturers of in vitro diagnostic medical devices and are subject to national and European regulations depending on their function. The entry into force of the EU regulation on medical devices (Regulation (EU) 2017/745, MDR) and the EU regulation on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (Regulation (EU) 2017/746, IVDR) resulted in a need for regulatory adjustments to German medical device law. This has created a new legal framework in which institutes for pathology operate, depending on their function as users, operators or in-house manufacturers of in vitro diagnostic medical devices.

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are devices that connect the human brain to an effector via a computer and electrode interface. BCIs may also transmit sensory data to the brain. We describe progress with the many types of surgically implanted BCIs, in which electrodes contact or penetrate the cerebral cortex.
