Although nearly half of all schwannomas involve the head and neck region, nasal and paranasal sinus presentations are quite rare in the literature. Two of the latter cases are presented in this report. In the first, the tumor originated from the nasal septum and was completely excised under local anesthesia. In the second, the schwannoma arose from the left frontal and anterior ethmoidal sinuses. This lesion was totally removed through a combined endoscopic intranasal and external frontoethmoidectomy approach. The patients have shown no tumor recurrence in 6 years and 18 months of follow-up, respectively. The extreme rarity of nasal and paranasal sinus schwannoma is the basis for discussion of these cases.

Background: The ethmoid roof separates the ethmoid cells from the anterior cranial fossa. From the medial side, the roof of the ethmoid is connected to the lateral lamella of the ethmoid plate, which is the thinnest bone at the base of the skull and is most vulnerable to damage during endoscopic surgeries. The purpose of this study is to investigate the height of the lateral lamella in patients with hypoplasia/aplasia of the paranasal sinuses and deviation of the nasal septum using reconstructed multiplanar images by cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).

Introduction: The differential diagnosis of orbital complications of rhinosinusitis with diseases of the lacrimal sac in childhood remains unresolved both due to the similarity of the symptoms of the diseases and due to certain diagnostic difficulties requiring computed tomography.
Objective: To develop an algorithm for routing a patient to the emergency department of a multidisciplinary emergency hospital based on clinical and diagnostic distinctive features of sinusitis with orbital complications and diseases of the lacrimal sac with reactive edema of the eyelids.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis of children's medical histories, who were treated in the otorhinolaryngological and ophthalmological departments of the Morozovskaya Children's City Clinical Hospital during 2022 was performed for orbital complications of rhinosinusitis or dacryocystitis with reactive edema of the eyelids.

Objective: To evaluate the characteristics of antifungal immunity in patients with bilateral chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
Material And Methods: The study included 74 patients with bilateral chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and a control group consisting of 30 almost healthy individuals. All patients underwent surgery and were divided into two groups: Group I - with liquid secretion (=39), Group II - with thick secretion in the paranasal sinuses (=35).

Background: Corticosteroids are used in managing Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS) through several formulations, including oral steroids and nasal sprays. More recently, incorporating concentrated budesonide respules into high-volume saline irrigations has been proposed to enhance the penetration of topical steroids into the paranasal sinuses. We aim to evaluate the safety and efficacy of budesonide nasal irrigation (BNI) in managing CRS.

This study utilized CT imaging to investigate the rostral part of the head of the crested porcupine's head. By combining CT images with anatomical cross-sections, we have provided a detailed description of the structures in this area. This information could be useful for diagnosing disorders and improving their treatment in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses of crested porcupines.
