A series of specimens identifiable as the anemone-associated shrimp Ancylomenes speciosus (Okuno, 2004) are reported here from New Caledonia, NE Australia, and SW Taiwan. Detailed morphological remarks and figures of the specimens are provided. All examined adults are morphologically very similar, males and subadults differ from adult females mainly by their unarmed second cheliped fingers and the more elongated sixth pleomere.

Polymorphing hydrogels can morph into another structure on demand with reprogrammable features. This concept extends the degree of morphing beyond that of traditional shape-morphing hydrogels, which predetermine their morphing capabilities at the fabrication stage. However, current polymorphing hydrogels face limitations due to the need for complex, non-sustained responsiveness or additional chemical steps for reconfigurable morphing.

Chemical probes derived from the opioid alkaloids can provide deeper insight into the molecular interactions in a cellular context. Here, we designed and developed photo-click morphine (PCM-2) as a photo-affinity probe based on morphine and dialkynyl-acetyl morphine (DAAM) as a metabolic acetate reporter based on heroin.

Objectives: The aim of our study was to compare morphometric patterns of facial sexual dimorphism with strength-face relationship in members of two distinct populations of European and Central Asian origin: Russians and Tuvans.
Methods: Handgrip strength (HGS) measures and facial photographs were collected from Russian (n = 233) and Tuvan (n = 187) men and women. We digitized 70 landmarks and semilandmarks on full-face and 54 landmarks and semilandmarks on profile photos.

Background: Mu opioid receptors (MORs) are key for reward processing, mostly studied in dopaminergic pathways. MORs are also expressed in the dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN), which is central for the modulation of reward and mood, but MOR function in the DRN remains underexplored. Here, we investigated whether MOR-expressing neurons of the DRN (DRN-MOR neurons) participate in reward and emotional responses.
