Toluene sulfonic acid remimazolam is a novel benzodiazepine that differs from traditional benzodiazepines (BZDs) due to its rapid onset, swift metabolism, and lack of hepatic or renal metabolism, as well as its reduced effects on cardiac and cerebral functions. Despite its potential advantages, clinical experience with this agent remains limited. This study investigated the effect of remizolam on postoperative delirium in elderly patients undergoing painless bronchoscopy.

Background: Previous studies have demonstrated perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) impact renal function, with albumin playing dominant role in their transport and accumulation. However, the mediating role of albumin in PFAS-induced renal impairment and the identification of sensitive populations remain uninvestigated.
Methods: This study included 9328 individuals from NHANES 1999-2018 with data on serum PFAS, creatinine, albumin, and covariates.

This study aimed to investigate the potential of condensed tannins isolated from Cercis chinensis Bunge leaves as natural preservatives for fruits and vegetables. The research demonstrated that C. chinensis leaves condensed tannins (CLCT) significantly delay the browning process and reduce nutritional loss in fresh-cut lotus roots.

Black rice bran (BRB), a valuable byproduct from the rice milling process, possesses numerous pharmacological activities, including antioxidant potential, but information regarding highly efficient extraction methods is scarce. To enhance the extraction efficiency, ultrasonic-assisted extraction coupled with Box-Behnken design (BBD) was used in this study to maximize the total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), total anthocyanin content (TAC), and antioxidant capacity of BRB extract. A novel copper and iron doped containing chitosan and heparin sodium carbon dots (CS-Cu,Fe/HS) nanozyme was formulated through a single-step microwave digestion method. CS-Cu,Fe/HS exhibits excellent peroxidase (POD)-like activity and positive charge characteristics, and it can oxidize the negatively charged 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) in the presence of HO to produce a green compound (ox-ABTS). Furthermore, CS-Cu,Fe/HS enhances electron transfer and provides additional active sites through the valence state transformations of Fe/Fe and Cu/Cu.
