Background: The Strengthening and Stretching for Rheumatoid Arthritis of the Hand (SARAH) program is an evidence-based exercise program for adults with hand function difficulties due to rheumatoid arthritis. A self-guided online version of the program has been developed for direct access by patients.
Purpose: To evaluate the delivery of the online program in routine therapy care and its impact on clinical outcomes, before making it widely available.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia which results in debilitating memory loss as the disease advances. However, among older adults with AD, some may experience rapid cognitive decline while others may maintain a stable cognitive status for years. In addition to the amyloid plaques, tau tangles, and neuronal inflammation characteristic of AD, there is strong evidence of dysregulation in the peripheral immune system, including decreased naïve T cells and increased memory T cells among older adults with AD.

Background And Aims: We assessed clinical, procoagulant and genetic risk factors and clinical outcomes in dabigatran-treated patients with non-tumoural acute and acute-on-chronic portal vein thrombosis (PVT).
Methods: Patients with a new diagnosis of non-tumoural acute and acute-on-chronic PVT between January 2021 and January 2024 (aged ≥ 18 years) in those without/with cirrhosis (Child-Pugh (CP)-A/B/C ≤ 10) were started on dabigatran and followed and compared with those on vitamin K antagonist (VKA) and untreated individuals.
Results: Dabigatran was prescribed in 119 patients with PVT type 1 (61, 51.

Biochar has emerged as a promising soil amendment material, offering the potential to enhance mechanical and water retention properties. Geo-environmental structures constructed with biochar-amended soils (BAS) might experience a change in strength and water retention capacity due to extreme climactic changes, resulting in structural failures. The existing literature lacks a comprehensive study on the strength of BAS under prolonged curing, freeze-thaw cycles, and water retention behaviour for varying compaction conditions.

This study explores temporal and inter-individual variations of loneliness in Canadians over the pandemic's first year (April 2020-2021), by identifying loneliness trajectories. It then seeks to provide information about groups overrepresented in high and persistent loneliness trajectories by examining their associations with risk factors: social isolation indicators (living alone, adherence to health measures limiting in-person contacts, and online contacts), young adultood, and the interactions between these factors.
